The solution bridges the gap between existing software applications and the plant floor to enable dramatic, sustainable performance improvements. Our software, delivered through a web browser, also provides inventory visibility and actionable insights for customers in a variety of industries.
This is a Junior Solutions Consultant role within our Professional Services organization. You will apply knowledge of factory operations to implement methods for reducing inventory, improving throughput, and improving delivery performance. This will include interacting with clients’ personnel and completing technical tasks. Your success will lie in your intellectual capacity to assimilate new information rapidly…and helping match the advantages of our software, tools, and business solutions with our clients’ current and long-term business needs. Some Travel may be required
Responsibilities include:
- Execute implementation tasks as assigned to support on-time completion of projects while delivering customer benefits.
- Participate in the following aspects of a software implementation:
o Develop business logic needed for customized portions of our product
o Configure software for client
o Create inventory optimization models using our tools and techniques
o Train end users to maximize their benefits
o Provide feedback to Product Management for software enhancement ideas - Assist with support ticket process, completing initial troubleshooting, communicating with customer-users, and resolving issues where possible
- Maintain reasonable documentation for both internal knowledge sharing and making references available to customer-users
- Fill supporting role for Pull Design and Process Improvement workshops with clients, to help make the workshops effective and efficient
- In this role, you will be given opportunities for increased responsibility, such as leading customer-facing calls and web-based meetings; planning, organizing, and delivering customer-facing training; and other increased responsibilities for delivery of projects. The expected progression of skills and responsibilities would eventually lead to more senior roles and leading projects yourself, with or without direct reports.
Required Skills for Ideal Candidate:
- Problem-solving – Interest and skill in solving problems, both with teammates and with clients
- Strong technical background, including advanced Excel skills, some database familiarity (Access at a minimum, Oracle and/or SQL is a plus)
Some experience with coding, such as python, PL/SQL, VBA - Co-op or intern experience in a manufacturing/distribution/supply chain setting will be valued
- Ideal candidate will have a combination of business/manufacturing/supply chain and technical skills
o ME/IE/MfgE/Supply Chain degree with demonstrated technical experience and interest in more, or CS (or similar) degree with demonstrated knowledge of and interest in broader manufacturing and supply chain challenges and improvements - Must have the highest integrity and work ethic
