June Webinar: Shire | Patheon Case Study for Supply Chain Optimization
06/15/2017 Shire contracted Patheon to manufacture and package numerous pharmaceutical products in Patheon’s plant in Greenville, NC. The two companies teamed up with Invistics and utilized software from Invistics to implement Shire’s vision of a seamless Plant-in-Plant partnership with Patheon that pushed for mutual visibility, trust, and accountability in order to provide the highest level of assurance that products are readily available at the expected quality.
Using software from Invistics, the joint Shire/Patheon team was able to cut cycle times 40%, and maintain a more consistent level of inventory at their distribution center. We hope this case study will educate you on the “art of the possible”.
