ATLANTA (January 28, 2005) — Invistics, developer of manufacturing performance
management software, announced today that it has raised an additional $5 million in a second round of funding led by current investors H.I.G. Ventures, Intersouth Partners and Imlay Investments.
“We’ve been impressed with the results Invistics and its customers have achieved thus far,” says Fred Sturgis, H.I.G. Ventures managing director. “The solution addresses supply chain issues created by highly variable environments so that manufacturers such as pharmaceutical
companies can achieve significant reductions in inventory and improve business processes.”
New funding will be used for expansion of product research and development along with
expansion of sales and marketing. The Flow Path Management System® is a manufacturing
performance management solution that allows high-mix manufacturers to apply the latest lean
manufacturing techniques to environments with constant change and significant variability.
“Changing customer demands and shorter product lifecycles put greater pressure on today’s
manufacturers to operate at a faster pace,” says Scott Geller, Invistics CEO. “Our software helps them manage the complexity so they can satisfy as many customers as possible on time with the least amount of inventory.”
